What is community acupuncture?

Community acupuncture is performed in a group environment in which multiple patients receive treatments together in a relaxed and quiet group setting. In our clinic space, we set up 4 reclining 'zero gravity' chairs in the back office.  We dim the lights, put on quiet music, and let our patients have a peaceful acupuncture experience. If you haven't had an acupuncture treatment in a community setting, you'll be surprised by how great it is!

The community acupuncture model is one that is meant to support patients by offering low cost treatments, and to support practitioners by offering a system in which they can serve a higher volume of patients. This way, we're able to get people in as often as they really need to in order to see real, lasting change, at a price that they are able to afford.

In this environment, we are able to treat nearly all of the same complaints as we would in a one-on-one session, including symptoms such as headaches, digestive disturbance, musculoskeletal pain, stress, insomnia, hormone imbalance, and mood imbalance. If you have a question as to whether community acupuncture is right for you, please feel free to give the office a call.

What would a visit look like?

Your time would include filling out a short intake form, a brief intake at the front of the office, followed by a treatment in the back quiet room. We'll try to let you rest with needles in until 'you feel done', usually around 25-45 minutes.
